We operate an ecommerce store (www.gelaskins.com) featuring the artwork of over 100 artists and have worldwide retail distribution. We recently launched a service on our website to allow customers to upload their own artwork and photos for custom, one-off products. It's an exciting time at GelaSkins and we're looking for additional like-minded, passionate individuals to join our team. Responsibilities: • Maintain a php-based eCommerce website including custom shopping cart • Develop the back-end infrastructure and front-end features of social community sites using PHP, MySQL, and other open-source technologies. • Maintain CMS infrastructure and ensure efficient process integration across different departments. • Develop, design, test, and maintain highly innovative and scalable web-based applications coded in PHP & MySQL • Implement Social network API integration • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment Requirements: • 5+ years of experience developing PHP Applications. • 5+ years experience developing dynamic front-end server-side application with HTML, JavaScript, AJAX and CSS • Experience with SVN, CVS or other version control system • Experience with Apache and Linux • Server Administration experience • Shell scripting • Understanding of web caching techniques • Knowledge of Javascript libraries such as Ext, JQuery, YUI, JSON • Expert knowledge of SQL and relational database structures and MySQL database design and integration. • Proficient in PHP 5, DHTML, with over 3 years of experience in the e-commerce and online marketing industry. • Knowledge of Webservice integration through SOAP / XMLRPC • Experience with design patterns, MVC frameworks (CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Zend, etc) • Expert-level knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, and relational databases (MySQL) • Knowledge of Open Social guidelines and implementation. • Proficient in Forum Platform, Chat and Social Media Apps integration. • Open Source development experience • Knowledge of full web site production life cycle • A passion for web development that goes beyond working hours • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. • iPhone application development a bonus • Flash / ActionScript knowledge a bonus At least 5 year(s) of working experience in this field is required for this position.
